Member Profiles

Gregory Mayer

Gregory is a graduate of the University of Queensland, having completed a Masters degree in organ performance in 1992, studying with Dr Robert Boughen.  As a recipient of the Harmer Scholarship, he studied with David Sanger in England in 1995.  He has twice won the University’s Hugh Brandon Prize for organ performance and, as an accompanist, won the Margaret Nickson Prize. Gregory was Cathedral Organist at Stephen’s Cathedral Brisbane and Director of Music at Christ Church St Lucia. He has been the ACU accompanist since 1997.

Tricia Elgar

Tricia Elgar is a music educator and choral conductor.  After graduating from the University of Queensland she performed as chorister and soloist with Baroque ensemble Cantilena Singers,  the Brisbane Chamber Choir and the Queensland Pops Orchestra.  Tricia was a member of the Opera Queensland Chorus for fifteen years.

Currently, Tricia teaches singing at Kenmore State High School, where she also conducts three choirs, and is Music Specialist at Indooroopilly Montessori Children’s House.   Tricia has been the Choral Director at St Peters Lutheran Church since 2006.
